Anyone here has been to Everest Region? Would you like to share any experiences? I am planning to do Everest Base Camp next spring. Anyone interested? Thinking of 14 days. Fly to and from Lukla-Kathmandu. Trek-12 days to Kalapathar and back, trek would be 2 more days if going to base camp, i think.

A good choice indeed. I have been to it from both side, Nepal and Tibet. Both have their own uniqueness and beauty. Feel comfortable with Nepalese side as assistance is easily available than in Tibet.
14 Days will be my plan.

1. Ktm to Lukla (fly) and trek to Phakding.
2. Phakding to Namche
3. Namche
4. Thengboche
5. Dingboche
6. in Dingboche
7. Lobuche
8. Trek to Kalapathar and back to Lobuche
9. Trek to base camp and back to Loubuche
10. Trek to Dingboche or Pangboche
12. Trek to Namche
13. Trek to Lukla
14. Fly back to Ktm
Dont forget to pack one nice digital camera as well as photography is seldom enough when you are there.
Oct. Nov are good months to travel.

Thanks for your input. I know fall is the best time, but April/May is not bad either, i heard. I can't make it this Oct/Nov and don't want to wait one more year, unless I have to.
