very heart rending indeed!

i salute Ms. Anuradha Koirala, founder of maiti nepal, to have come up for the rescue of these poor girls.

Just lately (august '06) she received the courageof conscience award.

way to go, Anuradha! we need more people like you. yes, together we can!!!

They had the documentary on PBS once. I think that you can also purchase the whole thing with PBS. It really is a heart wrenching film... you have to watch it.

This video just made me think… Who’s heart wouldn’t cry after seeing this? The answer would be perhaps the people with the mentality of pimps. I wouldn’t have an ounce of remorse for those kinds of people even if they were hanged.

What would you do if your sister was kidnapped and taken to brothel? I’d want to kill the culprit. But the law stops me from doing so…so I’d trust the law to punish the wrong doers. Now what if the law doesn’t do anything to the culprits??? What if the authority thinks that it’s is more important to serve the feeders? It is important to voice against these kinds of practices and support the ones who are helping out the victims. But wouldn’t it be nice if the cause of the problem could be eradicated too? This is one of the many reasons for me to justify the reasons for Maoists for picking up the arms.
