Parties flayed for misleading people

KATHMANDU, Jan. 17: Rajparishad Standing Committee member Sachchit Shumsher JB Rana has said that public disenchantment towards the Maoists playing the politics of jungle through the medium of murder and violence and the seven parties agitating in the streets has been on the rise.
Speaking at a book release and felicitation programme organised by the Himalayan Development Trust Nepal and Thakuri Social Development Service Trust here today, Rana said the parties are misleading the people by saying that the municipal election declared by the King was unconstitutional.
He also said that nobody should infringe the people?s inherent right to vote. On the occasion, Rana released a book named ?HRH Crown Prince Paras: a bright star of the Shah dynasty? written by Rama Thakuri and also felicitated artist Jal Shah.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Govinda Chaudhary said the seven parties were trying to disintegrate the national unity when the nation?s existence is under crisis.
Social worker Jayaprakash said there is no doubt that the municipal elections declared as per the good wishes of His Majesty would not be held. Chairperson of the Trust Ram Thakuri presided.
