In Peter Karthak's much awaited weekly column today in TKP, he writes about Nara Shumsher whose passing away, incidently, coincided with the dawn of the people's victory against the king's direct rule. Lest our last two generations forget the history, the lesson to be learned from the recent movement is that those perpetrators must not go scot free like in 2007 and 2046.

Here are some excerpts; read the rest of it in www.kantipuronline.com

"...It is painful, as it is, to annotate the pathetic parables perpetrated by an unpunished and scot-free Rana relic like Nara Shumsher."

"...He supervised the killing of the four martyrs and is believed to have shot Gangalal and Dashrath Chand himself, after the person (a low-caste Newar) deputed to shoot hesitated."

"...It is painful, as it is, to annotate the pathetic parables perpetrated by an unpunished and scot-free Rana relic like Nara Shumsher."
