Don't know the answer to your questions, but here's some food for thought. I know a lot of Nepali who have joined the US army through MAVNI, but I have never met anyone who did it for any reason other than getting a US Greencard (and citizenship). Just let that sink in for a minute: most Nepali realize that joining the US army is an option only when no other option exist. You, on the other hand, already have a Greencard. You are a dumbfuck! why? Because you have a BE degree in EE& comm ~ and still want to be a danthe. Why don't you go to graduate school, spend 2 years on getting ME. You will make 100+ man.

I too am interested in joining Reserve army......Anyone who has done it recently or has initiated the process can you please share some insight on the training process and duration? Any relevant info will be highly appreciated!!

You are a dumbf**k, why? Being an Army reserve won't stop you getting a job with your Engineering degree and earn 100k+ salary. On top of that, being an army veterans will have added benefits like discounts, priorities in jobs, respect etc.

I haven't done that but heard about it. Also, I think there are certain age restriction on the field you can choose. If you are eligible, I would suggest you to go in Navy, which I have always dreamed of.

you need citizenship to go to officer and you can't be E6, most you can be is E4 with 4years degree. My suggestion is to talk with recruiter. They will have all answer for your questions.
