Maoist Chairman Prachanda would not attend the protest assembly currently underway at the open air theatre in the capital,
“Chairman Prachanda would not be able to attend the programme due to his health condition,” a Maoist source told.

The Maoist supremo was expected to make an important announcement at the assembly organized to formally announce the party’s withdrawal from the eight-party government and its protest programmes.

Prachanda was recently diagnosed with spondylitis and high blood pressure.
