Hey Guys, I received this W-8BEN form from Bank of America last week. I had received that form last year too but did not care about it. This form is about "Certificateof Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding". Many of you must have also filled this form. Can you please let me know what this is about? Also I am in h1b since 2008 Oct., so for tax purpose I am a US resident.The form has a point that if you are a us citizen or resident alien, you have to fill W-9. Please share your ideas. Thanks
