Sorry for some reason my previous posting could not be completed.
I am in H4 visa, my spouse is in H1 and I have a daughter who is also in H4. Due to circumstances I am changing my visa to F1 and my spouse and daughter to F2. My attorney says  fill separate I-539 one for myself (F1) and one for the other two (F2). School says one form is enough.
I google searched but could not find answer to my querry ( I mean, I was not lazy )

here is my experience.


Follow your school not the lawyer.


School is responsible to do all the document as  your spouse and children must be included in your F1 documents.


your spouse/children  do not have there separate  f2 document. there name will be at the bottom of your F1 document as  dependent.

Thanks for your help.
I will do as per your suggestion. Seems I wasted $350 paid to the attorney. All he did was printed the I-539 form for me. Ooph!
